I have decided to use a different format for all the Reports which were posted on this site immediately after each Formula One, World Rally and Champcar event in 2003. At the time these were full reports for each event and not just Summary Reports as they are now.
As there are a lot of visitors who read the reports when first published and also trawl through the individual reports in the Archive, I thought that they might prefer to have a reference copy of ALL the reports in book form. This is easier to read than text on a computer monitor and serves as a permanent reminder of all the drama which gradually unfolded during a momentous season in each of the three branches of motorsport covered by these reports.
It was a noteworthy season in so many ways - starting with rule changes in all three series and ending with the closest of contests for each World Title. The F1 and W.R.C. Championships were only decided in the final event of the season and the Champcar title was undecided until after the 18th of the 19 race series. You could not have got much closer than that unless the Champcar title had also gone down to the wire - which it almost did!
So, as a salute to Michael Schumacher's record-breaking 6th F1 crown, Petter Solberg's maiden Championship title and Paul Tracy's long-awaited Champcar triumph, all 49 reports have been brought together in one book of 123 pages.
I was actually surprised myself, when carrying out the work involved in the compilation, at just how many crucial incidents I had forgotten. You begin to realise, as you read the reports, how different the eventual outcomes could have been if only......................
The book is printed on A4 size paper and is bound using a plastic 'comb' that enables it to be opened at the required page and then to be folded back on itself without damaging the binding.
It costs £9-95 + postage (£2-00 to U.K. addresses). If you would like one just contact me and I shall send one to you. If you are happy with it, send me a cheque made payable, please, to Andrew Little Fine Art.
