Miniatures of Juan Manuel Fangio and a flying Tommi Makinen

Great Britain 2006

FERNANDO ALONSO DEMONSTRATED YET AGAIN THAT HE AND RENAULT ARE THE COMBINATION TO BEAT IN 2006 AS HE WON HIS 3RD CONSECUTIVE RACE AHEAD OF MICHAEL SCHUMACHER AND KIMI RAIKONNEN (IN THAT ORDER) AND EXTENDED HIS LEAD IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP TO 23 POINTS. HOWEVER, DESPITE THE RENAULT'S APPARENTLY BULLET-PROOF RELIABILITY, WE MUST NOT FORGET THAT A SINGLE NON-FINISH COULD MAKE THE TITLE RACE A MUCH MORE UNPREDICTABLE AFFAIR.
