SCHUMACHER BREAKS AYRTON SENNA'S RECORD BY TAKING HIS 66TH POLE AND, DESPITE TYRE PROBLEMS IN THE RACE AND FERNADO ALONSO SEEMINGLY GLUED TO HIS GEARBOX FOR MOST OF THE TIME, HE HELD ON UNTIL THE FINISH ON THIS NOTORIOUSLY DIFFICULT TRACK FOR OVERTAKING. A REVERSAL OF THEIR SITUATIONS LAST YEAR. JUAN PABLO MONTOYA TOOK A FINE 3RD PLACE.
